State Affairs with a Weight of 52 Million: A Call to Action

I will lead the state affairs with a sense of responsibility that is 52 million times greater We held the first meeting of senior secretaries and aides chaired by the president since the launch of the government. First, we instructed all ministries, including the Office of the President, to establish an emergency response system and prepare practical protection measures in consideration of the urgent situation in the Middle East. In relation to the specific situation that occurred recently, we emphasized that the National Security Office should respond without fail to ensure the safety of our citizens. As the economic situation worsens and the instability of the foreign exchange, financial, and capital markets increases, we must quickly prepare countermeasures to prevent additional risks from spreading. In a situation where the burden on the people is already high due to rising prices, it is urgent to devise effective measures so that anxiety is not aggravated by the additional increase in oil prices. Although the supplementary budget has already been submitted to the National Assembly, we plan to actively prepare additional alternatives and cooperate with the National Assembly if necessary to prepare for unexpected variables such as the situation in the Middle East. Administration and state affairs can have endless tasks or no progress depending on the mindset of public officials. I asked them to actively find tasks that they can do and quickly implement them with a sense of responsibility that the lives of the people and the future of the country depend on public officials. As always, I will approach the matter with a sense of responsibility that one hour of public officials is equivalent to one hour of 52 million citizens. I promise to lead state affairs so that the people can experience a better tomorrow.
