PM.Paetongtarn apologizes for leaking audio clip, points out that it is a threat to national security

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs presents its compliments to the Royal Embassy of Cambodia and has the honour to state the following: "The Royal Thai Government is deeply disappointed that the private telephone conversation between the Thai Prime Minister and the senior figure from Cambodia was leaked to the media. Trust and respect between the two leaders are fundamental to good neighbourliness and conduct among states. Such actions contradict internationally accepted practices, and will severely affect ongoing efforts for both sides to resolve the problem in good faith." At 12.17 PM, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra announced that she must apologize to all Thai people for the leaked audio clip, which should not have happened. She apologized. She personally spoke with the commander of the Second Army Region, saying that it was a communication technique to show understanding to the other party first in order to calm the situation, and she really did not know that the clip would be released. She has already reached an understanding with the army, and the army understands. Paethongtarn said that this is a threat to national security. Today, we do not have time to fight among ourselves. The government is willing to support the army in all forms. However, when doing anything, we must take into account the safety of the Thai people in Cambodia.

Prime Minister Phaetongtharn Shinawatra has announced that he apologizes to Thai people for the leaked clip of the conversation with Hun Sen, the leader of  Cambodia. He expressed his disappointment through the diplomacy. The conversation between the 2 leaders was secretly recorded. He stated that now is not the time to fight because we have to protect the sovereignty of Thailand. Confirm that the government and the army are united and want the people to be united with us.
